Her 1967 album, "Carla Cruz canta Flamenco," became a critical and commercial success, introducing her unique voice to a wider audience.

Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, Carla Cruz toured extensively, performing in prestigious venues and festivals across Europe, the Americas, and Japan. Her live shows were a testament to her electrifying stage presence, which could effortlessly shift from tender intimacy to explosive passion.

As a teenager, Carla Cruz started performing in local tablao and festivals, quickly gaining recognition for her exceptional talent. Her voice, characterized by its warm, rich timbre and impressive range, set her apart from other singers. Her emotive delivery and ability to convey the deepest emotions through song earned her the nickname "La Voz de la Pasión" (The Voice of Passion).
