L Elemento Del Crimine 1984 -

The story follows Fisher, an exiled former police detective living in Cairo, who undergoes therapeutic hypnosis to recall his final case in Europe. Under hypnosis, he "returns" to a decaying, dystopian Europe to track a serial killer known as the "Lotto Killer," who targets young girls selling lottery tickets.

To catch the killer, Fisher utilizes a controversial profiling method developed by his mentor, Osborne, in a book titled The Element of Crime . This method requires the detective to enter the mind and psyche of the criminal. As Fisher follows this path, he begins to lose his own identity, mirroring the very madness he is investigating.
